Pruce College Scholarship - Once again Beth El Jacob is pleased to offer scholarship opportunities to our members.  Here are the details and application procedures.

Iowa Floods of 2008 - We've gotten lots of calls and inquires about how the shul has been effected during the recent Iowa flooding.  We are grateful that the only water we've experienced has been in the BEJ Gym at the lowest level of the shul.  There was about 23 inches of water that we have since pumped out.  Daily we've been saying Tehillim for not only Des Moines but the rest of Iowa.  At this writing we can report that much of the water is now receding.  Here is an excellent resource for keeping up on what has been going on.
